ReGen Shortlisted for ‘Best Energy from Waste Initiative’ in National Recycling Awards 2016
Regen have proved once again that they are a force to be reckoned with, as the finalists for the National Recycling Awards 2016 have been announced and they have been shortlisted as a contender in the ‘Best Energy from Waste Initiative’. This is a testament to the pioneering work and radical engineering improvements being made to waste processing solutions across the site and in other operational areas.
ReGen have been shortlisted alongside 6 other major UK companies in this category which recognises and rewards examples of innovation in recovering energy from waste otherwise sent to landfill. Finalists are required to illustrate best practice not only in technology, but in adhering to the waste hierarchy, the proximity principle and getting community buy-in.
Thanks to the tireless efforts of the whole team, ReGen can proudly state that they meet all the qualifying criteria, and are more than capable of competing with companies at a national level.
Joseph Doherty, Managing Director commented, “Being shortlisted for this award just further cements our credibility as a powerhouse in the recycling world. Not only are we able to set best practice standards for the industry but we can also design and engineer bespoke machinery and equipment in order to further improve processes – just like our bale handling equipment which reduced loading and unloading operations between 30-40%.”
To date ReGen has processed over a million tonnes of waste, and with factory expansions to facilitate the processing of Municipal Solid Waste they anticipate the number of UK and Ireland clients will only increase as they continue to grow, and go from strength to strength.
The awards take place on 6th July 2016 in the Hilton on London’s prestigious Park Lane in Mayfair, with the nation’s waste and recycling elite expected to be in attendance.
