Operations Manager

Job Overview:
We are currently recruiting for the role of Operations Manager to join our Operations Team based within our Waste facilities in Newry, this is an excellent opportunity to join an exciting and expanding Company that can offer excellent long-term development opportunities.
Working as a key member of the Operations Management team and reporting to the Operations Director, you will ensure that manufacturing processes run smoothly, meeting targets, delivering product on time, in full to the excepted quality.

Duties:
• Ensuring quality is to the agreed standards
• Identifying and running Continuous Improvement Projects in order to improve process, drive efficiencies and lower business costs.
• Liaise between team members across all departments of the organisation.
• Present analysis of production to Operation Director and Senior Management.
• Monitor staff performance on an ongoing basis.
• Training & Development - Training needs analysis & requirements
• Liaison with Engineering - Maintenance - Planned / Routine / Non-Routine / Breakdowns
• Communication & Reporting - flow of accurate information upwards & downwards and across department
• Ensure that operational standards are continually met, across all operational activities and functions
• Contribute towards the achievement of company’s strategic and operational objectives
• Comply with Health and Safety policy at all times and adopt safe methods of working
• Any other duties deemed necessary by management.

Essential Criteria:
• At least 5 years’ experience in senior management position managing and leading multi-functional teams within a fast-paced manufacturing environment to achieve or exceed, organisational KPI’s
• Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills
• Excellent IT skills
• Experience of packages for the use of planning and forecasting to meet customer requirements on time and in full
• Proven ability to manage and & motivate of an ever-expanding team
• The ability to provide a health and safety focused working environment
• Self- motivated with strong leadership skills and ability to prioritise/delegate activities.
• Experience in managing people in fast paced commercial environment.
• Team player with a hands-on attitude.
Desirable Criteria:
• The successful candidate will be educated to Degree level in Business Administration, Engineering Management or proven experience in a similar role.
• Any lean experience a benefit
• Experience within a Facilities or Waste Management environment
