Contracts Manager

Job Overview:

The successful candidate will be required to assist and develop our portfolio of contracts for various stakeholders and governing bodies based from the Company’s head office in Newry, however the candidate will be required to travel from time to time to the UK.  In addition to being involved in the day to day duties including the collation, validation and formal reporting to keep us at the forefront of the recycling industry. 

 

Duties:

  • Reporting to the Management Team

  • Liaise with consultants and client managers to resolve any contract issues which may arise in an effective manner

  • To develop good working relationships with customers and to ensure there is an excellent understanding of the customers specific requirements

  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure an excellent delivery of contracts

  • Support various departments on contract bidding, extensions and terminations etc

  • Recording / reporting of contract compliance, annual price reviews, tender submissions, contract award/decline and debrief information relating to tender

  • Ensure contractual obligations are being met, with quick resolution

  • Provide excellent customer service and develop strong customer relationships

  • Detailing of minutes, estimates and claims, as may be required

  • Deal with any complaints in an efficient and effective manner

  • To provide and update accurate reports to line manager

  • Travel to UK when required by management

Esstential Criteria:

  • Minimum two years Contract Management Experience;

  • Prepared to travel to UK from time to time;

  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills;

  • Excellent contributing to contract negotiations, influencing & reporting skills for large scale contracts;

  • Excellent organisational / administration & communication skills (both written & verbal);

  • Excellent analysing, interpreting, presentation and reporting on contract performance data;

  • Have a hands on approach to all tasks;

  • Ambitious and driven to succeed;

  • Skilled in data mining & analysis;

  • The right to live and work in the UK

  • Clean Driving Licence

 

Desirable Criteria:

  • Knowledge of EU Procurement or contract law would be beneficial;

  • Coroporate sales /purchasing experience in waste/engineering business, would be beneficial;

  • Good Working knowledge of Microsoft Packages;

  • Educated to Degree level

 

Duration: Full Time Permanent

Location: Newry
