4 reasons why ReGen should be your recycling partner
Councils and business across the UK and Ireland are already benefitting from working with ReGen, because we are specialist and we love what we do. Our systems and processes have been refined and optimised so that we can confidently say we’re the best at what we do. If you’re not yet convinced, here are 4 reasons why ReGen should be your recycling partner.
#1 Our facility is world class
Our plant in Newry is really something – it’s licensed to operate 24/7 and employs over 160 people, and our team processes everything from mixed paper, to aluminium cans to glass in all its forms. Our operations are ISO 9001:2000 certified for quality, and ISO 14001 certified for environmental management and we give our customers total transparency over all operations, so you can be sure that your waste is in safe hands when you’re with us.
#2 Our transport division is constantly growing
We know that all areas of our business need to be strong which is why our transport division also gets a lot of attention from our top management team to ensure it is up to our very high standards. As our customer base has grown, we have expanded and improved our transport division to include new trucks, which of course are all low emissions. Our quick and responsive logistics service is just another reason why ReGen should be your recycling partner.
#3 We have a dedicated engineering department
Meet the brains behind our business! 10% of our turnover is invested in R&D because we know how important it is in the world of waste to keep innovating and maximising efficiency of operations. In order to achieve these goals, ourR&D department are responsible for designing and building new equipment to test ideas, as well as to meet changing requirements from our customers. Our engineers also adapt our existing machinery where possible to improve operations.
#4 Waste to Energy is a huge part of our operation
Recovering energy from waste is a hugely important area of our work and part of our daily job involves developing innovative processes to recover energy from the different waste streams collected from our customers. Prepared waste in the form of Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) is supplied to Waste to Energy plants in Europe. Here is burned to recover the energy in the form of heat, for generating electricity and to heat homes via district heating systems – using waste instead of fossil fuels or other means, and also reducing the amount of waste sent to landfill. We currently export to 27 countries around the world, and have no plans to slow down any time soon.
