For example:
- Since 2005 we have provided significant support for a number of local authorities concerned with overspill or the impact of maintenance
programmes at their own facilities and have processed 75,000 tonnes on an “Emergency” or “Rapid Response” basis and in specific circumstances have:
- 2010 –We commenced overspill work for one of the largest recycling firms in the UK, which we continue to take at a rate of at least 100 tonnes per day.
- 2009 – We provided drop trailers for one of our overspill customers in Scotland where they had no covered storage which lead
to a significant reduction in the levels of contamination. We use this method widely.
- 2008 - We moved & sorted c 1,500 tonnes of materials for 1 non contracted customer in a week with only an initial 48 hours notice.
- 2007 – Recovered further materials which had already been processed by another MRF using optical sorts, which had problems with mixed plastics & glass.
- 2005/2006- we provided a “seamless” collection and recycling service for one local authority over an 18 month period whilst their own facility was being rebuilt.
All of these services were provided at very competitive rates and in each separate case was much more cost effective & efficient than the service offered by our competitors.
