Public Partnerships

Across the board Re-Gen take a partnership approach with all our customers and within the supply chain generally. This has yielded dividends for both us and our customers.

Operations:

From the outset of a new relationship we seek to address the concerns of our customers proactively by meeting with one of our directors to ensure that operational difficulties are minimized, maintaining a close relationship with them and reviewing progress regularly. For example:

  • Logistics solutions – using specialised contract specific trailers and/or varying pick up schedules to optimise loads.
  • Assist with the reorganisation or reconfiguration of transfer station to maximise RCV offload turnaround times & bulk loading efficiency.

  • Drop trailers - to assist customers who lack covered storage we have provided dropped trailers, allowing them to bulk materials into the trailer directly so that we can exchange a new one when the first is filled.
  • Loader / driver - where a council has not had loading facilities we have been able to provide loader and where necessary lorry drivers who are trained to use the loaders when they arrive to pick up the materials.

Supporting community initiatives:

Schools- there are numerous example of the support we have provided to schools for the councils we serve, from giving educational talks on recycling, assisting in school engineering projects and participating in jobs forums, Re-Gen is proud to serve the community. (Take a look at our News pages for examples).

Awareness – we have supported council initiatives such as the “Recycler of the Month” campaign in which we fund a monthly award to the householder who is deemed to have provided the best example of use of their recyclates bin. This was done as we agreed that it would be more beneficial to educate the bin users.

We are currently placing regular educational advertisements in the local newspapers. This is support that benefits both parties as a better quality mix helps the Council meet its targets and makes it easier for Re-Gen to recover materials.

Example of the above community initiatives can be seen in our news section.
